Radish sambar

Radish sambar recipe | How to make moolangi sambar | Mullangi sambar | Mooli sambar

Sambar is a lentil based vegetable stew predominantly prepared in South India. It is prepared using dal, tamarind and any vegetable or a combination of vegetables. It is a popular breakfast as well as lunch stew. There are many variations in the sambar. Mullangi sambar is one such variety prepared with a combination of dal and mooli.

Mooli sambar or mullangi sambar recipe is one of the easy and delicious sambar recipe which made with mooli or radish only instead of vegetables. Mooli is also known as radish, muli, mullangi, mooliangi, or daikon in other language. Mullangi means radish in Tamil. I use Radish to make Mooli parathas too! This is another recipe to use radish to make a tasty sambar. We use freshly grounded spices and add coconut too to make this type of sambar. Thats why its called “Arachuvitta sambar”. Here I have used
daikon radish to make the sambar, however you may also use the red radish . The daikon radish is more spicy and flavorful, which tastes really good in the sambar. Radish Sambar is a great option if you love sambar but want to try something a little different.
